INGREDIENTS

  • Dark chocolate – 150 gr
  • Unsalted butter, cut into cubes and softened – 150 gr
  • Sugar – 180 gr
  • Whole eggs – 3 pc
  • All-purpose flour – 120 gr
  • Cacao powder – 1 heaping tablespoon
  • Orange – 1 pc
  • Baking powder – 1 heaping teaspoon

PREPARATION

  1.  Preheat the oven to 180C. Prepare a deep 24x25x4cm cake tin, line it with baking paper or spray with non-stick baking spray.
  2. Take a peel and squeeze juice from 1 large orange. In a large bowl mix sugar and orange peel, put them aside to rest for 30 min.
  3. Then add orange juice and eggs to the sugar and mix it with a whisk.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  5. Melt the chocolate over a bain-marie until it reaches 45C. Add butter and mix until smooth.
  6. Add chocolate to egg mix, mix together. Fold in the flour and mix until fully incorporated.
  7. Pour the mixture into prepared tin, smooth the surface, you can sprinkle over sesame seeds.
  8. Bake in the oven for 25 min until the crust forms and it is slightly springy in the center.
  9. Leave to cool and cut into squares.
